Meet Carla McRae, CPA, CGMA
Carla McRae's career spans over 20 years of unique professional experience, including a combination of public accounting and chief executive leadership in the Manufacturing and Software as a Service (SaaS) industries. Carla has a proven history of overseeing multi-million-dollar expansions by carefully aligning business strategy with operational management.
As the head of Business Advisory Services at Berman Hopkins CPAs & Associates, LLP, Carla strives to be a trusted business adviser to her clients. She diligently works to minimize risk, maximize value, and address unique challenges and growth opportunities. She has implemented a multi-faceted, value-added strategic plan focused on progressively expanding services, increasing client engagement, and developing a cohesive team. Additionally, she has launched rapid response services and managed hundreds of millions of funds for emergent client needs. Her certified public accountant license and extensive experience in payment disbursements provided strategies that expedited the delivery of the funds while focusing on minimizing fraud risks.

Carla gives 100 percent of her attention, commitment, strength, and time to all areas in which she finds passion but holds a special interest in the SaaS industry. As a fractional Chief Financial Officer, she provides her expertise to emerging SaaS companies during their growth stages. Additionally, she shares her knowledge and insights on financial-related topics with industry leaders through her free informational Podcast (SaaS Blast).
Carla remains an active participant within the community, actively contributing to business development initiatives. In 2018, she earned the "4 Under 40" award winner with LEAD Brevard, exemplifying her leadership skills and dedication to community service. In 2023, she received the prestigious Orlando Business Journal Power Player Award. She serves on the Executive Committee as a board member for the Economic Development Commission of Florida Space Coast. Furthermore, she joined the University of Central Florida’s Alumni Board in 2023, which encourages support for UCF and its economic initiatives that impact higher education.
In addition to her professional achievements, she is a mother to three children and committed to their success as she balances her demanding career.
